Ibiza Town (Eivissa)
A cultural option, perfect for those who enjoy cute boutique stores, delicious restaurants, trendy bars and a more cosmopolitan ambiance. Ibiza Town is the largest town on the island and so obviously has plenty of options for everyone at a more up market price. If you have a car, you could easily stay here and travel the island during the day. However, if you’re looking for a beach vibe it’s probably not for you.
South West (Cala Vadella)
A small beach community with views of Es Vedra, Cala Varela is the perfect place to stay if you want a relaxing holiday right on the beach, within walking distance of absolutely stunning coves which you can explore until your heart is content. We absolutely loved it here. There are a few bars and restaurants here although if you’re looking for many options perhaps designate a driver or opt to stay somewhere bigger.
San Antoni
We only stay a night in San Antoni after we returned from Formentera, as we went to a party near the town and basically needed somewhere to leave our bags. It is definitely a place for easy package holidays and post-school trips. Hotels are much cheaper than in other locations on the island, and you can see an incredible sunset from the boardwalk and have a cheap night on the strip. It’s really not a bad option, but just not really our vibe.
Platja d’en Bossa
The huge hotels are located along this beach, close to the airport and Ibiza Town. Location-wise its brilliant and there are a lot of options available. However, the most beautiful beaches are located on the other side of the island so if you’re
on Ibiza for the scenery rather than partying this place is probably not for you.
North (Portinax)
We didn’t actually stay in the North at all, however we did seriously consider it and visited on our scooter during the day. This location is absolutely stunning. It’s the hilliest part of the island and perfect for hikers and nature-lovers alike. The north of the island is a lot more exclusive, and where you’ll find beautiful (famous) villas, so definitely a place to check out if youre after a more luxurious escape.
